πŸ—‚οΈ Comprehensive guide to end-of-service rewards in the Saudi Labor Law 2026

What is the end of service reward?

End-of-service gratuity is a basic financial right guaranteed by the Saudi Labor Law issued by Royal Decree No. (M/51). It is an amount paid by the employer to the worker upon the end of the employment relationship, and is calculated based on the last basic salary, the length of service, and the reason for the end of the employment relationship.

How is the reward calculated?

  • The first five years: Half a month (15 days) for each year of service.
  • After five years: A full month (30 days) for each additional year.
  • Fractions of the year: It is calculated as a percentage of the full year.
πŸ“ example: Basic salary 10,000 riyals, 8 years service. First 5 years: 5 x 5,000 = 25,000. Last 3 years: 3 x 10,000 = 30,000. Total = 55,000 riyals.
